What is Radiesse?
Radiesse® is an injectable dermal filler used to treat certain areas of the face and hand that provides immediate volume correction and continues to work by stimulating the body's own natural collagen product to provide a long-lasting effect.
Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure to deliver a natural look that lasts.

Benefits of Radiesse
5
Radiesse has been FDA approved since 2006 and is hypoallergenic and biocompatible
4
Radiesse has demonstrated promising results in the treatment of acne scars, stretch marks and improving skin texture
3
Unlike other collagen stimulating fillers which is usually done over a few sessions for results to be optimal, Radiesse provides instant results and can be continously built on it
2
Due to the collagen stimulating properties, results of Radiesse tend to last typically longer than Hyaluronic Acid fillers (up to 2 years)
1
The filler is not likely to spread to other unintended areas which makes it the perfect choice for chin, nose, cheek filler and contouring the lower face
How does it work?
Radiesse works in two steps.
Firstly, it provides an immediate restoration of volume to the treated location. Then, over the next 1-3 months, the Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHa) microspheres will act as a scaffold for skin cells to attach to and produce new collagen.
Which will result in firmed, lifted and radiant skin with less wrinkles. Results will last for approximately 18-24 months which is why patients are advised a recommended follow-up treatment every 2 years.
Radiesse can:
-
Smooth hand wrinkles
-
Restore or Add volume to the hands and cheeks
-
Replenish volume lost over time, or from ageing
-
Fill in facial wrinkles and nasolabial folds
-
Contour the jawline or lower face
-
Fill in acne scars, or supplementary to subcision
